A podcast dedicated to the teaching of legendary Boston drummer Alan Dawson. I studied with Alan in the late '80's and his teaching had a strong impact on my playing. I use the original cassette recordings of the lessons so the listener is able to hear directly from Alan. Join me as I go back to 1988 and rework my way through Alan's material, from Lesson 1 to The Ritual.
